ADMISSION OF FOREIGN STUDENTS AND STUDENTS WITH FOREIGN QUALIFICATIONS TO UNDERGRADUATE COURSES

General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University has initiated action to enroll Foreign Students and Students with foreign qualifications from other countries and from the expatriate Sri Lanka community to follow Bachelor's Degree Programmes for the academic year 2021/2022.

All relevant details and regulations pertaining to the Degree Programmes can be obtained on the KDU website www.kdu.ac.lk.

FOREIGN SECRETARY ARYASINHA ELABORATES ON CABINET DECISION TO GIVE PRIORITY IN REPATRIATION TO VULNERABLE SECTORS AMONG OVERSEAS SRI LANKAN MIGRANT WORKERS

Foreign Secretary Ravinatha Aryasinha participated in a television interview, recorded today (07 May 2020), at the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) where he expanded on the Cabinet Paper presented by Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena, Minister of Foreign Relations, Skills Development, Employment and Labour Relations  regards "addressing the vulnerable sectors of the migrant labour category of Overseas Sri Lankans amidst the COVID-19 pandemic by the Government of Sri Lanka".

Special Deposit Accounts

 

Special Deposit Accounts can be opened as fixed deposits with Licensed Commercial Banks and National Savings Bank of Sri Lanka, by any Sri Lankan individual resident in or outside Sri Lanka, dual citizens, citizens of other states with Sri Lankan origin, non-nationals resident in or outside Sri Lanka, funds, corporate bodies, and associations incorporated/registered outside Sri Lanka and any other persons as permitted by Foreign Exchange Regulations. Banks offer SDAs attractive interest rates with additional 2 percentage points over normal foreign currency fixed deposits.
