It is an honour for me to be here today at the 34th Session of the UN Human Rights Council which I believe has the highest number of dignitaries in attendance.

Colombo International Tea Convention 2017

8th, 9th , 10th & 11th of August 2017, Colombo, Sri Lanka

The  Colombo  Tea  Traders  Association which  is  the  apex  body  for  the  Tea  trade  will  be  organizing the  Colombo International Tea Convention from the 9th – 11th August 2017 at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel Colombo. It will begin with the FAO Inter Governmental Group on the 7th & 8th August 2017.

Substantial Improvement in Sri Lanka - Canada Relations

The Sri Lanka National Day was celebrated at the Sri Lanka High Commissioner’s Official Residence in Canada in the presence of over 160 guests who braved a wintry day to be present on the occasion.

National Intergration and Reconciliation Week Marked in Ottawa

The Government of Sri Lanka declared the week January 8th -14th, 2017 as National Integration and Reconciliation Week, based on a concept of President Maithripala Sirisena.  The initiative was observed by the staff of the High Commission in Ottawa by commencing work, on Monday 09th January, pledging to devote their energies in every manner possible towards ensuring National Integration and Reconciliation.
