මොකද මං දැක්කා මේ අද උදේ එනකොට, පුවත්පත් බලනකොට, එක්තරා දේශපාලන පක්ෂ නියෝජිතයෙක් මා විසින් ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලද ඩයස්පෝරා උළෙල සම්බන්ධයෙන් විකෘති වූ අදහස්  ප්‍රකාශ කරළා තිබුනා, එහි ප්‍රකාශ කරළා තිබුනා, මේ උළෙලට එක්සත්  ජාතීන්ගේ මානව අයිතීන් කවුන්සලයෙන් ඇමරිකන් ඩොලර් මිලියන 3 ½ක් ලැබෙන බවත්, මේක ඊලාම්වාදය යළි වතාවක් ලංකාවට ගෙන ඒමේ වෑයමක් කියලත් පුවත්පත්වල අද ප්‍රකාශයට පත්වෙලා තිබුනා.

It is a pleasure for me to join you here at this High-Level Seminar on Peacebuilding, National Reconciliation and Democratisation in Asia, to share with you, details of Sri Lanka’s experience and our journey towards achieving lasting peace, reconciliation, prosperity and dignity for all our people.

Actg. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon Ajith P. Perera felicitated two young Sri Lankan achievers – Mr. Thejitha Saubhagya Edirisinghe and Ms. Kavindya Thennakoon – at a meeting today (19 June 2015) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They are among the sixty winners of the Queen’s Young Leaders (QYL) programme 2015 from Commonwealth countries.

Honourable Speaker,

I rise to respond to questions raised by the Honourable Leader of Opposition relating to the discussions that took place between the GTF and the TNA in London, and my presence there.

As the House is aware, the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission was appointed by President Mahinda Rajapaksa on the 15^th of May 2010.

The Report of the Commission was handed over to President Rajapaksa on the 15^th of November 2011 and it was tabled for the attention of all the Members of this House, on the 16^thof December 2011.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with the Ministry of Public Order & Christian Religious Affairs jointly handed over Dual Citizenship Certificates to recipients at the Foreign Ministry main conference hall today, 11 June 2015 at 10.00 a.m.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ajith P. Perera represented Sri Lanka at the High Level Conference of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) on ‘Security and Stability in the Region of SCO’ on 4 June 2015 in Moscow. The High Level Conference was organized by the Russian Federation that holds the presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.

The Government and people of Sri Lanka are deeply saddened by the tragic deaths that occurred as a result of a fire that erupted in a petrol station in Accra at a time when the people of Ghana were already traumatized and trying to cope with torrential rain and floods.
